Common questions about web design.
Do you use templates or page builders?
No. Every site is hand-coded on Astro. A template gives you the same structure as everyone else who bought it, plus weight you do not need. Hand-coding means the markup is clean, the pages are fast, and the design is built around your business rather than the other way round.
Will I be able to edit the site myself?
Yes. We set up your content so you can change text, images and pages without touching code or paying us every time. We show you how it works before we hand over.
Do I own the site once it is built?
You own the code and the content. There is no platform that holds it hostage and no monthly builder fee to keep it online. You can host it with us or move it anywhere you like.
How fast will the site be?
We build to a 100/100 PageSpeed target with sub-second loads on mobile. Speed is not a finishing touch, it comes from the way the site is coded from the first line.
Can you rebuild a slow Wix, Squarespace or WordPress site?
That is most of what we do. We rebuild template and builder sites as bespoke, hand-coded sites that load faster, read better to search engines, and are simpler to run.
How much does a bespoke website cost?
Most of our builds land between £1,000 and £6,000 depending on size and scope. A focused single-page site sits under that; e-commerce and larger builds sit above it. You get a fixed written quote before any work starts, and there is no monthly fee afterwards because you own the site. We have published a full breakdown of UK website pricing on the journal.
How long does a build take?
It depends on scope and how ready your content is, so we do not pretend there is one number. After a short scoping call you get a written proposal with a fixed price and a delivery date, and we hold to both.
